Corona:

Conference Venue
The conference will take place in the Aula Conference Centre in Delft.

The Aula can be reached from Delft train station using Bus 40, 55, 69 and 174 and leave at bus stop ‘TU Aula’. In rush hours, these buses leave every 5 minutes and it takes around 10 minutes to reach the Aula. By foot, it is a walk of around 20 minutes (1.6 km).
Presenting:
Due to the hybrid form of the conference, there are two options for presenting:
- Share your presentation (PPT, PDF) with the organization, who will show it on the screen and in the teams meeting (send it by mail to frank.phillipson@tno.nl).
- Participate with your own equipment in the teams meeting, showing your presentation.

Travel to Delft
By airplane:
From Schiphol Airport trains leave every 15 minutes, both direct trains to Delft as trains to Den Haag CS (with a change at Leiden). It takes around 40 minutes to reach Delft.

From Rotterdam/The Hague airport you take the bus to train station Rotterdam Central Station (20 minutes) and from there the train to Delft (15 minutes).
By train:
From Belgium/France you will leave the international train at Rotterdam Central Station and take there the local train to Delft.
From Germany you will leave the international train at Utrecht Central Station and travel via Rotterdam Central Station to Delft.

By car:
Parking is free of charge on campus. The six large parking areas are well signposted on the campus ring road. Demand for parking is high. Always leave enough time to find a parking space and walk to your destination.
Traveling by public transport in and around Delft
Railway travel:
You can use a single-use chipcard or a (personal or anonymous) OV-chipkaart (smart card) to travel by train in Holland.
The single-use chipcard is perfect for incidental travellers. You can buy it at an NS ticketing machine (at the stations) or service desk. Single-use chipcards always cost 1 euro more per trip. You don’t have to charge credit to the card but you do have to check in and out.
If you plan to use the train more often while staying in Holland, we recommend buying an ‘anonymous OV-chipkaart’. You can buy them at NS ticketing machines or the service desk. There is a one-time fee of EUR 7.50 for an anonymous OV-chipkaart (which can also be used on buses, trams, metros and ferries). Prior to travelling, you must charge credit to your anonymous OV-chipkaart, which can be done at an NS ticking machine. If you want to travel by train, you need at least 20 euros worth of credit on your OV-chipkaart! You must check in prior to every trip and check out at the end. Look for the OV-chipkaart pillars on the station.
An anonymous card is valid for five years. You can keep the card to use it again. The credit will also remain valid. Or you can get the left-over credit back at a public transport company counter.
Bus:
In Delft, from the station or city center to the university, the bus is the easiest way to travel. You can enter the bus with an ‘anonymous OV-chipkaart’ and check in and out, or buy a ticket at the driver’s (no cash payments).
Tram:
Traveling to Delft or traveling from Delft to The Hague, the tram is an option. Again, you can use the ‘anonymous OV-chipkaart’ or buy a ticket in the tram, for two hours (€4) or one day (€7,10).
Other transport:
Also bikes and mopeds can be takes. Multiple providers are active in Delft and The Hague, like GO (GO Sharing | A green planet with mobility for everyone (go-sharing.com)) and Felyx (felyx - Beat the streets)
Advice: for a short stay, I would advice to buy single tickets. You will get a (day) ticket, which can be used for the Tuesday.
