Conference Venue
Maastricht, with its rich history dating back to Roman times, boasts an array of well-preserved medieval buildings, including the stunning Basilica of Saint Servatius and the medieval city walls. The city is home to Maastricht University, one of the most prestigious in the Netherlands, and its annual TEFAF art fair is a renowned event in the art world. Additionally, Maastricht's strategic location on the banks of the Meuse River and its proximity to Belgium and Germany make it a thriving hub for commerce, culture, and international cooperation, playing a pivotal role in the formation of the European Union through the Maastricht Treaty.
The conference venue is the School of Business and Economics (SBE) of Maastricht University. Tongersestraat 53 in Maastricht.

As Maastricht University is a young university, the buildings have their own history. The building where the SBE is located, The Canisianum, is a former Jesuit Monastery:
The Canisianum, also called Second Jesuit Monastery or Jesuit Monastery on Tongersestraat, is a former monastery and theological faculty of the Jesuits in the center of the Dutch city of Maastricht. It was the second Jesuit monastery in Maastricht, after the first monastery was closed in 1773. The complex, located on Tongersestraat, has been used by Maastricht University since 1974, currently by the School of Business and Economics. The main building is a municipal monument; the carriage gate and the reused facade of a former mansion on site have been listed as a national monument since 1971, as have some military structures in the garden.
