For over 30 years, the Department of Industrial Engineering has stood for modern degree programs with excellent career prospects for graduates. We have expanded our specialization fields for industrial engineers in a future-oriented manner. We are among the pioneers in many subject areas.

We were among the first to scientifically and practically implement content on resource-conserving management in study programs. Our Environmental Technology and Development degree program offers a unique combination of sustainability topics and development work.

We are pioneers for innovative digitalization in e-commerce.

Through our collaboration with more than 100 partners, we ensure a practical academic education. Our projects range from Industry 4.0 and innovative production processes to virtual & augmented reality and smart data analysis. Our students are closely networked with an extensive circle of donors from successful companies in the digital economy. We have doubled our cooperation with international partnership universities in recent years.

At the Department of Industrial Engineering, 23 professors with different scientific and professional backgrounds teach. This means that students benefit from fixed contact persons and a group of experts who provide an optimal combination of economic, technical and legal skills.
