Requirements

higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), subject-related higher education entrance qualification or entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife)
you don't have a higher education entrance qualification but you have work experience? Find out about studying without High School Diploma.
Did you complete your school or university education abroad? Please note the admission requirements for studying in Germany.
OR
Completion of vocational training in accordance with the provisions of the Hebammengesetz (HebG §10) (e.g. health and nursing care professional, paediatric health and nursing care professional, nursing specialist, nurse)

It is necessary to conclude a training contract with a cooperating institution of the University of Applied Sciences Jena. Applications must be submitted to the relevant hospital, observing the application deadlines and the application documents to be submitted.

In order to conclude the training contract at the cooperating institution and to enrol, an extended certificate of good conduct and a medical certificate of professional aptitude must be provided.

Application procedure

1. Sign a contract for training

Vor der Immatrikulation ist der Abschluss eines Ausbildungsvertrages mit einer kooperierenden Einrichtung der Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule Jena notwendig. Die Bewerbung erfolgt am entsprechenden Krankenhaus unter Beachtung der Bewerbungsfristen und der einzureichenden Bewerbungsunterlagen.

3. Add and submit your application

Select your desired degree and degree programme and enter all the necessary information in the application portal. Upload the required documents (e.g. your training contract). Submit your application by the deadline of 30 September at midnight.

Once you have submitted your application electronically, you will be automatically redirected to the enrolment portal to apply online for enrolment in your desired degree programme. If you obtained your school leaving certificate/degree outside Germany or have already studied in Germany, we will review your application before you can apply for enrolment.

4. Apply for enrolment electronically

Danach beantragst du die Online-Immatrikulation im Campusportal der EAH Jena, indem du alle erforderlichen Daten eingibst. Dort findest du dann deinen Immatrikulationsantrag als PDF.

5. Send your enrolment application by post

Drucke den Immatrikulationsantrag aus, unterschreibe ihn und sende ihn zusammen mit allen geforderten Unterlagen (siehe Checkliste) rechtzeitig per Post an die Adresse auf dem Antrag.

6. Done – welcome to our university!

Sobald deine Unterlagen bei uns eingegangen sind und geprüft wurden, wirst du immatrikuliert und bekommst du ein Starterpaket mit deiner THOSKA per Post vom Studierendensekretariat.

Application instructions for international students

You can check whether your school-leaving certificate gives you direct access to German universities or whether you need to complete additional work, e.g. in the form of years of study in your home country or attendance at a Studienkolleg in Germany.
