Physiotherapy

The Physiotherapy degree programme prepares you to treat people with mobility impairments of all ages and to specifically promote movement and health in all phases of life and living environments.

You will be prepared for work in your (own) physiotherapy practice, rehabilitation clinics, sports clubs, nursing homes for the elderly, hospices and institutions for the disabled.

After graduation you will be able to:        

• independently treat children, adults, athletes and old people physiotherapeutically, taking into account the current state of research;  
• develop concepts for health promotion and prevention programmes and implement them on your own responsibility;
• advise, train and instruct patients, their relatives and institutions on issues of maintaining health, reducing health risks, recovery and dealing with chronic illnesses;
• transfer scientifically based recommendations for action (so-called evidence-based guidelines) into practice and design standards to improve the quality of physiotherapeutic treatment;
• design and monitor work processes and
• participate in research projects.
